Term 3 and 4 Lessons – September 2020 Update

Hello ESSMers!

Following announcements by the Victorian government and DHHS yesterday, all lessons will be remaining online for the remaining weeks of term 3 and commencement of term 4. We will continue to protect our community of staff, students of all ages and supporters as first priority. We hope you have continued to enjoy lessons online as we fight through this pandemic. I thank our teachers for adapting to the times and continuing to provide quality lessons in a different learning environment.

Key Dates – September 2020 Update

• Term 3 ends on Saturday September 19th.
• Any lessons owing from term 3 are to be completed by Saturday September 26th.
• Teachers will be unavailable for lessons from Sunday 27th September to Sunday October 4th.

Term 4 2020

• Term 4 will commence on Monday 5th October. Fees invoices for term 4 will be issued as per usual by your teacher.
• We will recommence face to face lessons from Monday 26th of October if allowed by DHHS recommendations.

These dates apply to both the Boronia and Carrum Downs locations.

Closure of 179 Boronia Rd Location – September 2020 Update

While I have made every effort to maintain the school business it is now financially impossible to maintain two premises in the Boronia area. Eastern Suburbs School of Music will be merging the two locations in Boronia to the 10 Floriston rd premises. I will endeavour to make changes to staff availability with minimal disruptions to the Boronia schools. Details will be finalised in the week prior to term 4 commencing.

In what has not been an easy year I thank you all for the continued support of the music school. We remain open to taking on new students, please spread the word to friends and family. Having a hobby like learning an instrument through this time I hope has been a great outlet and escape.

It is our privilege to have been invited into your homes to teach! We can’t wait to see you all back at our home as soon as possible.
