Term 1 Update 2022 – Eastern Suburbs School of Music

Hello fabulous Eastern Suburbs School of Music family! What a great start to term 1 it has been. We have welcomed new teachers Josh Clinch, Clay Duke, Matthew Milligan and returning teacher Seth Garth. School enrolment has bounced back into 400+ students taking lessons at our school. Please read our term 1 update for up to date information about the school.

Masks off from Monday – Term 1 update

As directed by the Victorian Government masks will no longer be mandatory for indoor activity. We will also reopen the waiting room areas of the school. Please limit time in the wait area as much as possible. We have kept our school safe and healthy. All recommended measures to limit the spread of COVID will continue.

Cancellation Policy and Catch Ups – Term 1 update

A reminder that notification of lesson cancelations must occur by 12 midday on the day of scheduled lesson. This qualifies students for a catch up at a future time. There is maximum of two catch up lessons due to student absence per term. Teacher absence is not counted towards the maximum of two. For all lesson terms and conditions visit this page.

Please note that we are open for lessons on public holidays. Standard conditions apply, if you can not make lesson on public holiday we must be notified by 12 midday on day of lesson.

At Boronia also please do not park in the four spaces to the left of our business. These spaces belong to our neighbour that requires clear access to their storage space. There are no parking restrictions at the Carrum Downs space.

Rock Band Workshops

With confidence we will remain open for in person teaching from here onwards we will begin the rock band program from term 2. Information on the class can be found here. Students use their skills from lessons in a band environment. Take your playing and performing skills to the next level. See our clips from previous bands here.

YouTube Competition – Term 1 update

Celebrating our return to face to face learning. With permission, students will film a clip of their playing for upload to the Eastern Suburbs School of Music channel. Prizes for most viewed video and teacher selected awards. Previous years entries can be found on our YouTube channel here.
